Voile is a soft, sheer, and lightweight fabric, usually made of 100% cotton or polyester (Terylene). Because of its lightweight, the fabric is mostly used in soft furnishing. In hot countries, voile is used as window treatments and mosquito nets.
The voile fabrics are our perennial productions. It is mainly woven of 900 twisted 68D/18F or 68D/24F FDY polyester with a density of warp yarns 28/10cm (for the single yarn voile ) or 17×2/10cm ( for the double yarn voile). The weaving texture feature has plain, warp stripe, weft stripe, lattices. It can be treated with post-processing of flame retardant, waterproof, anti-static, crinkling, embroidery, printing, flocking, and so on.
Using: For curtain, curtain lining, home textiles, bridal dresses, toys, decoration, upholstery, drapery, etc.
Voiles are available in a range of patterns and colors. Because of their semi-transparent quality, voile curtains are made using specially manufactured heading tape that is less easily noticeable through the fabric. Voile fabric is also used in dress-making, either in multiple layers or laid over a second material.
Voile is very similar but different to chiffon, organza, and tulle, which are also light, sheer and transparent fabrics. Voile has a plain-weave construction, but it is softer and flowy. And because voile is woven of combed and twisted long fibers, this makes it sheerer and cleaner
Our permanent fire retardant (FR) Sheer Voile fabric can achieve standard EN 13773-1 and NFPA 701, it’s made of 100% permanent fire-resistant polyester on extra width 280-320cm (110-125inch).
